If so, Mid Sussex District Council is looking for a talented and motivated Planning Investigation Officer to join our Enforcement team.
About the Role
As a Planning Investigation Officer in the Enforcement team, you will play a key role in undertaking investigations in relation to alleged breaches of planning control and enforcing the Council’s planning decisions. You will be a strong team player with a flexible approach to your work and an excellent communicator.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a wide-raging caseload of investigations.
- Negotiating resolutions to planning breaches.
- Defending the Council’s position at appeal.
- Ensuring that all stakeholders are kept up to date in the progress of your investigations and applications.
- Keeping yourself up to date with changes in planning law, policy and guidance.
