This is a full time, permanent role based in our Support Centre in Speke. From conception to product launch, as a Buying Assistant you\’ll provide administration support to the team, whilst developing relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.Our Buying function isbased at the Support Centre in Speke, so youll be working alongside and learning from a team of established Buyers and Merchandisers. The role is based full time in the office, Monday to Friday. Within this role, you will be responsible for: Providing administrative assistance to the Buyers in the Indoor Furniture department. Managing and updating product information on a critical path. Liaising with Far East and UK suppliers, managing supplier setup and maintaining accurate records. Approving pre-shipment images, assembly instructions, test certificates, artwork etc. Monitoring competitor activity regarding products, pricing, and promotions. Compiling reports and gathering information for the Buyers. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience as a Buying Assistant – this is advantageous, although not essential. However, a strong understanding and passion for Buying is necessary. Strong analytic and numerical skills, with an attention to detail. Excellent time management and organisational skills – this is a must! Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong verbal & written communication skills, confident to engage with suppliers.
