Job Description

Organisational Development Advisor

Full Time – 18-month Fixed Term Contract

36.5 hours per week

Salary £40,000- £42,000 plus excellent benefits package, including 39 days annual leave (inc. of statutory holidays) and greatly enhanced pension scheme

North Preston Area

Flexible and family friendly working arrangements including hybrid working (3 days on site and 2 from home).

I’ve exclusively partnered with a large and prestigious not-for-profit organisation based in Lancashire as they look to appoint an experienced Organisational Development Advisor for an 18-month fixed term contract.

Reporting into an Organisational Development Partner and working closely with the Head of Organisational Development, you will support the Organisational Development and wider Human Resources teams as well as various stakeholders with a wide range of change and transformation activities, including Change Leadership, Employee Wellbeing and Engagement, Learning & Development, Management Development, Talent Management and e-Learning.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further exposure to organisational change for a large and varied workforce.

Key Responsibilities for the Organisational Development Advisor:

  • Assist in developing and delivering leadership and professional development programmes, staff engagement initiatives and coaching.
  • Support their employer value proposition and promotions processes.
  • Assist in managing a number of initiatives including ED&I, Reward and Talent Management.
  • Apply a project-based approach to the delivery of OD projects. Diagnosing issues and undertaking surveys, focus groups, facilitation and output capture, making recommendations for solutions.
  • Provide dedicated support to enhance the employee experience.
  • Support a wide range of stakeholders as they enter a period of significant change, making sure they are fully aware of the changes and how it affects them and their team members as well as ensuring they are fully on board with the new structure and have all necessary training in place.
  • Design and deliver training and run Focus Groups to help support stakeholders through change programmes.
  • Review current training offering making sure it if fit for purpose mobbing forward.
  • Implement recommendations from various organisation wide initiatives, including Induction Survey.

Key Requirements for the Organisational Development Advisor:

  • It is essential that you have significant experience working within Organisational Development at a similar level for a large and varied workforce.
  • You will have a wide range of Organisational Development experience and knowledge including Organisational Development Frameworks, Change Management and Organisational Design.
  • You will have experience and be able to demonstrate your ability to analyse data and findings to generate options and build solutions.
  • It would be highly advantageous if you have previously worked for a similar not-for-profit and or public sector organisation, however, this is not essential criteria to be considered for this role.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and communicate with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Confident and curious individual with a proactive attitude to solving problems and looking for solutions.
