A chance to work for a leading co-educational school in Oxford as a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician. An outstanding educational establishment spread across three school sites . Teaching years 7-11, Sixth form and a renowned International School. The school is high-achieving and they expect their staff to share the same principles.
The role is designed for a well organised individual who can adapt in a team environment and work well independently. The school is looking for an individual with a great passion for IT and they will help nurture your career with training and globally recognised certifications.
The successful candidate will need to have clear communication skills as you will be talking to clients over the phone and simplifying technical dialogue. Good written skills are also important as client reports are a crucial part of the job. A real emphasis on customer service and good technical knowledge such as a pragmatic approach to troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must live within commutable distance to Oxford.
Working environment:
- First and second line support duties answering clients queries
- Fully Immersed into cloud technologies such as; Active directory, SharePoint, Azure AD, Microsoft 365
- WAN/LAN Technologies
- VOIP Systems
- Configuring and Installing AV equipment
- Troubleshooting & escalating issues to senior engineers
- Setting up Hardware- Desktops, laptops & workstations
- School CRM management systems
- Exceptional fluency in English
- 2 years IT Support/Client environment
- 1 years experience in Microsoft administration, Linux or Cisco
- 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting
- 2 years hands on Hardware repair and diagnostic work
- 1 to 2 years networking in DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI and TCP/IP
Desirable Qualifications:
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Linux, Microsoft hardware (installation), or other industry relevant certifications
Hours:
- 9-5pm with overtime (must be flexible)
- 5 days a week
- £20,000 to £25,000 per annum including company pension
