I’m looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to contribute to smarter, greener infrastructure projects. Join our team and play a key role in delivering innovative infrastructure solutions.

You will assist in managing commercial responsibilities to maximize profit and control costs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing weekly and monthly cost value reconciliations.
  • Capturing and allocating costs and liabilities.
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Managing opportunities and risks, identifying deviations from practices.
  • Assisting in developing tenders, offers, and contracts.
  • Identifying and escalating inappropriate costs.
  • Recording and tracking insurance claims.
  • Maintaining accurate contract data and records.
  • Reporting on direct labour payments and managing sub-contracts.
  • Sharing best practices for continuous improvement.

About you:

You should have a relevant degree in construction or commercial management, experience in subcontractor management, and a strong commercial awareness. A thorough understanding of NEC3 contracts, construction law, and excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Advanced Excel skills are required.

You must be able to prioritize tasks, work collaboratively, and inspire others. Proactive issue escalation, resilience, and personal responsibility are key qualities. Ability to challenge situations positively and provide clear commercial information is also important.
