Job Description
A growing Lloyd’s managing agency is seeking an experienced Reserving Actuary to lead key aspects of their reserving and reporting function, including people management.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business decision-making across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead reserving assessments across multiple business classes.
- Calculate Technical Provisions under Solvency II and related regulations.
- Prepare regulatory documentation and internal reports.
- Maintain and enhance reserving models in line with Lloyd’s and PRA standards.
- Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, and other teams to analyse performance trends.
- Present analysis to management and support the production of the Actuarial Function Report.
- Mentor junior actuaries and support capital modelling efforts.
Requirements:
- Qualified actuary (or equivalent experience) with strong reserving background.
- Lloyd’s market experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ResQ, VBA, Access, and data tools beneficial.
