Our Plant Division are recruiting Pick-up Truck drivers to assist with delivery and movement of plant and equipment to and from our customers sites.
Ideally you will have experience in plant hire, hold a full valid driving licence and have a CPC driver qualification and live local to Selby Depot.
To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of plant and equipment required by the business, performing deliveries and collections to and from customer sites, Fairfax Plant Hire premises and other locations as required, whilst representing the Company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Responsibilities:
· Check equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner using approved methods and mechanical handling aids.
· Ensure that the total payload does not exceed vehicle weight limits and is evenly distributed on the vehicle.
· Use suitable and approved methods to secure the load in/on the vehicle during transit.
· Check paperwork to ensure that all delivery/collection loads are correct.
· Visually inspect equipment being loaded for delivery or collection.
· Deliver equipment to customer sites, ensuring that only authorised personnel receive and sign for the goods.
· Check own vehicle is in good condition and record daily vehicle checks and any vehicle defects in line with Driving Standard Agency requirements.
· Carryout Tachograph downloads in line with legislation.
· Ensure that all site rules are observed whenever operating on customer premises.
