Job Type: Temp to Perm
Opening Hours: Weekly shift rotation 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (overtime & unsociable hours premium available)

Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Compound Operatives to join the team. This is an outdoor position where you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are stored and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store and park vehicles in the compound according to company and customer standards.
  • Operate a handheld device to track the vehicles movements.
  • Maintain vehicles by performing tasks such as inflating tyres and conducting safety checks.
  • Drive vehicles safely and efficiently within the yard.
  • Communicate effectively with company staff to coordinate the movement of cars.
  • Follow agreed valet/wash services to ensure vehicles are ready.
  • Support with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) as needed which include checking fluid levels, battery status, tyre pressure, and ensuring all safety features like lights, brakes, and wipers are functioning properly. You’ll also ensure the vehicle’s interior, and exterior are free of any defects or damage, making sure it meets quality standards.
  • Document any issues or defects found during inspections and communicate them to the team leader for resolution.
  • The primary function of this role operates outdoors in a large automotive compound facility. Its associated duties are conducted in varying weather conditions throughout the year (PPE is provided to support such tasks). As you will be expected to store and transport vehicles in an outdoor logistics facility which also involves moderate amounts of general walking throughout the working day.

    Who You Are:

  • Must be over the age of 22 and hold a full driving licence, with no more than 6 pp / no DR10 Offences.
  • Reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
