Job Overview
About The Role: Our Warehouse Operatives play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive the right appliances in perfect condition and that all of our vehicles are loaded correctly. As a Warehouse Operative, you will report directly into the Nightshift Supervisors and need to be able to work well in a busy team.
- Salary: £12.57 per hour / £24,400.38 per annum
- Hours: 4 on 2 off shift pattern working 11:00pm-7:30am (37.33 hours per week)
- Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
- Location: Junction 19 Industrial Park, Green Lane, Heywood, OL10 1NB
- Required: Full Manual UK Driving Licence
What You Will Do
- Work to deadlines, unloading products from trailers and loading them onto 3.5t and 7.5t delivery vehicles using the correct process.
- Assign the products to the correct delivery vehicles using pick sheets.
- Check that trailers returning to Head Office are loaded correctly.
- Use correct manual handling techniques and safe systems of work in line with H&S training.
- Comfortably handle large appliances and perform heavy manual handling.
- Limit potential damages by handling appliances in line with training.
- Report any accidents, product issues or damages.
- Perform other general warehouse responsibilities.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, staying motivated throughout the shift.
