Area Maintenance Technician
Salary £28,540.46 per annum
Location: Reading, Watford, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Wokingham
Shift Pattern: Days, Hours per day

The Vacancy
Job Title: Area Maintenance Technician
Location: Reading, Watford, Bracknell, High Wycombe & Wokingham
Working Hours: 40 hours/week, typically Monday – Friday (Flexibility required 24/7)
Job Purpose
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.
The role involves non-technical repairs, minor PPMs, and assisting with electrical and mechanical plant works at various sites, all performed to high standards, efficiently and safely, complying with all health and safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities
People

- Attend necessary training courses
Performance
- Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repairs timely
- Complete all PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules accurately
- Respond promptly to service requests from Helpdesk
- Ensure availability of tools and equipment
- Work across different sites within the division as needed
- Maintain quality standards and professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Support other technicians with maintenance tasks
- Monitor and update the Mercury system
Process
- Comply with health and safety policies
- Complete mandatory training and modules
- Communicate effectively within the team
- Ensure costs are approved before expenditure
Other
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- GCSE/Standard Grade education minimum
- Trade qualifications advantageous
- Experience in building maintenance required
- Ability to repair various equipment
- Focus on quality, speed, and efficiency
- Problem-solving skills
- Good PC skills (Apple and Android)
- Response within response times
- Maintain health and safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Full driving license
