A specialist transport planning consultancy based in London is seeking a Transport Planner to join its growing Development Planning team. The practice provides expert transport and development planning advice across a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and education-led schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner to work within a collaborative consultancy environment, supporting a wide range of development projects while playing an active role in the continued growth of the team.

The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of transport planning inputs to the planning process, with responsibilities including (but not limited to):

Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, site access feasibility studies, and Travel Plans, with support from senior colleagues where appropriate
Contributing to the preparation of fee proposals alongside more senior team members
Managing multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within agreed budgets
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, and liaising confidently with third parties such as local authorities and project stakeholders
Supporting the development of junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and technical experienceAbout You
You will have:

2-6 years\’ experience in transport / development planning
Proven experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
An understanding of highway design principles, including relevant standards and guidance
Knowledge of key transport planning policy documents and their application to development proposals
Strong report writing, numerical, and presentation skills
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with experience xiskglj managing competing deadlines
Awareness of financial and budgetary constraints in project delivery
