Job Description

Interim Payroll Specialist – Edinburgh (Immediate Start)

3 Month Contract | Potential to go permanent

up to £38k per annum | 37 hours per week | Hybrid (min. 1 day in office)

 

iMultiply is supporting a non-for-profit organisation and looking for an experienced Interim Payroll Specialist to step in and provide hands-on payroll support during a critical period of transition. This is an immediate‑start role with a tight handover window, so we're looking for someone confident, detail‑driven and able to get up to speed quickly.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll play a central role in delivering accurate, timely payroll, managing monthly payroll via iTrent
  • Processing third‑party payments
  • Completing pension submissions
  • Handling HMRC tax submissions
  • Processing manual timesheets
  • Providing day-to-day guidance, oversight and problem-solving support
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency across all payroll processing

 

Skills Required

  • iTrent payroll experience, desirable, but open to experience with other systems
  • Strong payroll technical knowledge
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to pick up systems, workflows and processes quickly
