A brand-new SEMH provision in Essex, is seeking compassionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only, permanent role.
The school supports up to 30 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in creating a nurturing, structured learning environment where every pupil is supported to succeed – academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learning
- Support pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
- Help students build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Contribute to behaviour support plans and pastoral care
- Promote real-world learning and post-16 readiness
Qualifications and Experience
- A calm, resilient and caring approach
- Experience working with children or young people (SEMH preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and complete relevant training
- A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice
- Enhanced DBS required (or willing to obtain one)
