Job Description:
Your new role
Fleet Materials Planner
Doncaster
£40,310 per annum
Permanent
As a Fleet Materials Planner at Hitachi Rail, you will be responsible for management of the material planning and forecasting for a defined fleet of trains. Monitoring of all project owner owned spares and HRE spares. Daily/Weekly/Monthly reviews of depot portfolio settings in SAP. Management and issue of fleet specific reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.

Utilisation of a forecasting and planning system to generate optimal stock holdings, incorporating forecasted and planned requirements at the depots.

Management of depot stocking profiles and all related storage locations including (Outstation and Van processes)

Management of deliveries into warehouse and use of inbound monitor and EDI
-
Work with TMC to monitor material issues and capture/investigate availability loss reasons

Instigate and support issue resolution for reliability and repeat defects.

Work with the CPC/production and Engineering to resolve availability issues

Work with the fleet planning team to deploy a continuous improvement approach to ensure that any new data or any lessons learnt from other areas of the fleet are considered

Implement and manage materials planning for engineering change and In-service modifications in SAP

Implement and manage materials planning or heavy maintenance programmes in SAP
-
Work with the IT team to maximise the potential of the Forecasting /MRP system
-
Management and issue of fleet specific owner owned spares reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.
About you
-
At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment
-
Supply Chain experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment
-
Previous experience in report creation using Microsoft packages
-
Previous experience in Fleet planning and forecasting
