An opportunity has arisen with my client for an Electrical Fitter to join them on a 12-month contract. As the Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for manufacturing and testing tasks within the electrical department, following product certification procedures, workmanship standards, budgets, and timescales to meet project objectives.

28.35 per hour via umbrella (rising to 29.70 per hour after 12 weeks)

Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week
Security Clearance:
BPSS
This role will now include an accommodation expense if you are travelling from more than 30 miles away. This will need to be receipted and will be up to 400 per week (only for accommodation).
Responsibilities:
- Certify the product according to Product Certification procedures.
- Willingness to certify own work in line with quality standards.
- Maintain product certification and approval through regular audits.
- Apply versatile skills across various tasks.
- Be fully familiar with equipment, tools, and measuring instruments used in manufacturing.
- Ensure manufacturing, inspection, and testing times are met.
- Complete all paperwork related to manufacturing data packs.
- Uphold high standards of workmanship and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Skills/Experience:
- NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 in technical engineering or craft apprenticeship.
- HNC or equivalent in further education.
- IPC 610 certification/training preferred.
- Experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry desirable.
- Manual handling, lifting, slinging (including overhead cranes), and ESD training.
