About The Role: You will enhance the Street Scene in Braintree District by carrying out enforcement responsibilities in respect of anti‑social behaviour and environmental legislation, and by undertaking a range of Street Scene activities to improve the well‑being and quality of life for residents and visitors. The role is highly visible and will involve proactive and reactive investigations, supporting victims, collecting evidence, taking statements, issuing fixed penalty notices and writing reports.

Experience: The successful applicant will be self‑motivated, conscientious, enthusiastic, used to outdoor work, and able to work independently within a team to address anti‑social behaviour and environmental crime through prevention, detection and deterrents. You should have experience of enforcement action and procedures from informal warning to prosecution, good knowledge of relevant legislation (PACE, CPIA, RIPA), experience of PACE interviews, giving evidence in court, handling stray dogs, and a current driving licence. Excellent customer service skills, constructive flexibility and a keen willingness to learn are required.
