We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for various long-term frameworks across the UK.
RPS, along with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England, supporting projects for over 20 years. This 10-year framework aims to optimize programs, develop solutions, and select the best options based on value, carbon footprint, and cost, contributing to a resilient and eco-friendly Northwest.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy for water industry clients, with a focus on innovation and teamwork. We also collaborate with major water companies under various framework agreements, with ongoing projects leading into AMP8 and beyond, offering long-term career stability.
About You:
Ideal candidates will have experience in urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and GIS software, strong teamwork skills, and leadership potential to mentor others while delivering exceptional client service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver hydraulic modelling solutions for wastewater catchments, including analysis, studies, and cost-benefit assessments.
- Assess solution feasibility and engineering buildability factors.
- Improve tools, procedures, and processes for efficiency and innovation.
- Ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Travel to client sites or offices as needed.
- Lead project teams, manage relationships, and support team development.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Knowledge of water industry legislation and regulation.
- Experience managing projects and programs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in InfoWorks ICM, GIS, and related software.
- Proficiency in MS 365, PowerBI, SharePoint; experience with FME, Python is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant technical field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- Chartered status or working towards it, with professional affiliation preferred.
