Job Title:Occupational Therapist – Mental Health
Location:South West of England
Department:Community Mental Health Services
Rate:Up to £34 per hour

An exciting role has become available at the Bath And North East Somerset Council. They are looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized occupational therapy services to adults with mental health needs, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with mental health conditions, develop and implement tailored treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to support mental health recovery. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and community organizations, providing support and advice to service users and their families. Additionally, you will manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Experience in adult occupational therapy, particularly in community settings, is essential, along with expertise in assessing for equipment and adaptations. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are crucial, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will also need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, as well as a willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
