Summary
Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with a leading provider of support for adults with mental health, learning disabilities and brain injuries rehabilitation needs. Together we are looking for a newly qualified preceptorship nurse Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) or Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD or RMN ) Full to join their Specialist Learning Disabilities Hospital near to Cardiff. Service users are cared for in one of the single gendered Units depending on their unique needs
As a Registered Mental Health nurse or Registered Learning Disabilities nurse within the 29 bed service you will collaborate with a full MDT focusing on delivering positive outcomes for our patients and their families. Patients within the service will have a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities, and Forensic Histories. Patients may have complex needs and behaviours that challenge. The Hospital is easily commutable from Cardiff city centre, operating within a bespoke learning disability / ASC-friendly environment, our highly skilled multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to meet the mental and physical health needs of each of our service users.
Preceptorship nurses : In the case of newly qualified nurses ( Mental Health Nurse , Learning Disability Nurse and / or Registered Adult Nurse ), the service offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses.
Requirements
- Relevant Nursing Qualification ( RMN or RNLD )
- Valid NMC Registration with no restrictions or be expecting your PIN in the coming weeks in the case of newly qualified nurses
- Eligibility to Live and Work in the UK ( British Passport Holder or Biometric Card )
- Strong Team working skills
- A high level of self motivation and a flexible approach
- A positive attitude and naturally caring and compassionate
