About the role
You will join a project team to assist with implementing the Oracle Fusion ERP system into NEXT Finance, initially replacing AP, AR and GL.
You will be working on how to integrate our current HCM platform with our new Oracle Fusion ERP. You will be a key member of our team attending our design workshops and planning the integration, reviewing the changes required to migrate to a shared HR and Finance platform. Key lead to ensure HCM structures are aligned to the Finance enterprise design, ensuring and minimising impact to current HCM processes and outputs. This role will also include a large part of regression testing and understanding the current HCM set up and way of working.
In addition, you will work with our Tax business team to ensure the design supports Tax compliance and supports tax reporting. High level of design for VAT for our B2C transactions.
This will involve:
– Making and documenting design decisions inline with scope
– Completion of design workbooks
– Supporting business impact assessments
– Preparing / reviewing integration design documents
– Input into training plan
– Test planning
– Test execution
– Linking with change management and business adoption providing user training information
– Cutover planning
– Cutover execution
– Warranty support
– Understanding and highlighting any risks and ensuring controls are in place to mitigate risk
You will also be working with several business readiness teams:
- Existing payroll and HR tech teams to understand the current set up and transition to the new structures in HCM and finance ERP
- The testing team to build test scripts and full regression testing
- Training team to ensure we have the appropriate training for all users
- Linking with the core GL lead to understand changes to cost centres and people related structures and reporting\”
Criteria
- Good understand of payroll processes and accounting for people costs
- Good understand of Tax – VAT principles, taxable supplies and VAT rates. Supply chain knowledge for goods and services including international trade. VAT accounting and reporting.
- Experience of implementing change in areas with a focus on controls and automation
- Experience with another large ERP systems is desirable, preferably Oracle Fusion
- Ability to self manage, methodical with strong organisational skills ensuring multiple tasks can run in parallel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and escalate issues in an appropriate and timely manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excel, Powerpoint and/or Google Presentation skills
