Role Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Teach a curriculum that covers British, European and world history topics, fostering chronological understanding and cultural awareness

Encourage historical enquiry, interpretation of evidence and debate

Use a range of teaching strategies to engage pupils of all abilities and backgrounds

Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where needed

Contribute to departmental planning, resource creation and curriculum development

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
A degree in History or a closely related subject
Experience teaching History to GCSE (A-Level advantageous)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for historical learning
Ability to inspire and motivate pupils through creative lesson delivery

Experience with Edexcel or AQA History specifications
