What is the opportunity?
The Strategic Partnerships Group provides various services to businesses across the country. This includes specialist advice for solicitors, accountants and corporate finance firms, direct client networks, bespoke partnerships with corporates and membership organisations, and financial education that is designed to support the financial wellbeing of businesses employees. The team of experienced Regional Strategic Partnerships Managers (RSPM) work with individuals and organisations to drive these initiatives and help find the right solution.
We are looking for a RSPM, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, to drive business development initiatives across Scotland.
As an RSPM, you will work closely with our offices and internal functions to assist in the development and execution of the Strategic Partnerships Group initiatives, with the wider regional branch strategy. You will track results and deliver commercially viable outcomes for the group.
You will identify, develop and maintain effective relationships with the key Centres of Influence (professional advisers) in the Scotland market to help produce sustainable, profitable business inflows and an ongoing working relationship that seeks opportunity and challenges the status quo.
What will you do?
Contribute to the Strategic Partnership Group new business landed target. Monitor and report on progress towards the target on a regular basis, to the Head of Sales and the wider Senior Management team.
Build strong internal relationships with all stakeholders to create an open environment for good communication.
Maintain an awareness of market conditions and be flexible and able to adapt to business and regulatory changes.
Assist in the development of new propositions, working closely with colleagues across the group, especially within the Strategic Partnership Group.
Work closely with Marketing and Business Development team to develop, deliver, and maintain collateral, advertorial etc.
Work with external providers where necessary to promote RBC Brewin Dolphin services, where this is appropriate.
Keep up to date with the wider product and service offerings from across RBC Wealth Management Europe.
Depending on the individual’s experience, you may be required to take on a line management role for the Scotland region. This would entail day-to-day oversight of the team’s activity, strategic direction and providing ongoing coaching and guidance.

Evidence of working successfully in a similar role
Strong technical and local market knowledge of client segments within the Strategic Partnerships Group initiatives e.g. U.K. Family Law, Solicitors, Accountants etc
Working knowledge of RBC Investment, Credit and banking propositions
Current interaction and working relationships with Key Players in the above markets
Nice-to-have
Preferably obtained a level 4 qualification in CISI, CII or equivalent
