An opportunity has arisen with my client for an Electrical Fitter to join them on a 12-month contract. As the Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for manufacturing and testing tasks within the electrical department, following product certification procedures, workmanship standards, budgets, and timescales to meet project objectives.
Role Details:
- Position: Electrical Fitter
- Pay: £28.35 per hour via umbrella (rising to £29.70 after 12 weeks)
- Location: Bolton
- Contract Duration: 12 Months
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours/week
- Security Clearance: BPSS
This role now includes an accommodation expense for travel over 30 miles, up to £400 per week, receipted and only for accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Certify products according to the Product Certification procedure.
- Certify own work in line with quality standards.
- Maintain product certification and approval via audits.
- Apply versatile skills across various tasks.
- Be familiar with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments used in manufacturing.
- Meet manufacturing build, inspection, and testing times.
- Complete all paperwork related to manufacturing data.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping.
- Contribute to process improvements.
Skills and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 apprenticeship or equivalent.
- HNC or equivalent qualification.
- IPC 610 certification/training preferred.
- Experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
- Experience in aerospace or defence industries is desirable.
- Manual handling, lifting, slinging, and ESD training.
