Role: Roofing Teacher
Location: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus
Hours: 2 days per week (flexible, but consistent each week)
Term: Temporary – initially to Friday 19th December (potential to extend for full academic year)
Pay rate: £25.71 – £28.75 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
Start: Week commencing 25th August 2025

Position Overview:
Bolton Talent Solutions is recruiting a Roofing Teacher to join Bolton College’s Construction team on a part-time, temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified roofing professional who is passionate about passing on their skills. You’ll be delivering high-quality teaching to apprentices studying towards the Roof Slating and Tiling (RST) Level 2 Standard. Learners attend college on full-week blocks every four weeks, across both Year 1 and Year 2 cohorts.

The role begins the week commencing 25th August 2025, with teaching commencing the following week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons
• Support apprentices in developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for industry success
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback
• Prepare teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements
• Collaborate with the wider Construction team to support learner outcomes

Requirements:
• Recognised Roofing qualification (ideally Level 3)
• Industry experience within Roofing or Construction
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
