A quick look at the role. We\\\’re looking for an ambitious and proactive Business Development Manager to identify, develop and close new business opportunities. You\\\’ll be at the forefront of our growth in the Newton Abbot patch—building strong relationships, crafting smart solutions, and making a tangible impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of profitable new business opportunities.
- Selling contracted services into commercial sectors across your territory.
- Meeting and exceeding quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Creating and presenting strategic sales plans, reports, and forecasts.
- Working closely with the Regional Commercial and Depot Managers to align on campaigns and local strategies.
- Acting as the main point of contact between Biffa and prospective customers.
- Leading pricing negotiations and tailoring solutions to fit client needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in new business sales—especially selling contracted services.
- A track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent prospecting, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated, goal-driven, and able to work autonomously.
