Pastoral Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £95 – 105 per day

The School/role:

We are currently looking for an experienced pastoral assistant who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a fantastic SEN school in Birmingham. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. They are passionate about preparing students for life and supporting them to achieve their personal goal. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.

The candidate for this pastoral assistant role will be experienced supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.

The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very fulfilling for people who have teaching assistant experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • PECS and Makaton training/experience
  • PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service
