Lecturer Esports
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, (37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 4:30 pm)
Location: Wolverhampton Centre
Salary: £24,500 – £28,000 per annum, (Depending on experience & qualifications)

Nova Training recognises the demand in the next generation of gaming. Esports has seen incredible growth over the years and is still expected to grow at a compound rate, which is why we have this exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Esports Lecturer based in our Wolverhampton centre.
We are looking for a lecturer with a passion for Esports to deliver our Level 2 qualification.
As an Esports Lecturer, you will be delivering modules across the:
- BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Esports
You will need to provide innovative and creative lessons to a diverse group of talented students that share the same passion for gaming, to become successful in gaining a recognised qualification which will help them to progress into a career of esports, gaming, teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed and deliver Functional Skills in English, Maths
- Ensure the company is up to date with Esports news and that our resources reflect this.
- Ensure learners overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet their needs.
- Empathise with, engage and motivate learners.
- Assess learners\’ work towards BTEC qualification in Esports.
- You will also bring broad experience of competitive gaming and the online gaming community and ideas as to how to utilise this knowledge and passion to inspire young people.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Digital Gaming, Creative Media or relevant equivalent qualification.
- Ideally you will have experience, however, if you are looking to start a career in teaching we can support you to be a great teacher.
- Relevant Esports experience and fundamental knowledge
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths
- Are passionate about teaching in the FE sector
- Full, UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary
