Conwy Youth, Engagement and Belonging is seeking to appoint a self-motivated and experienced individual with a passion to support young people in achieving their potential. The successful candidate will work within a Secondary School and Community environment.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Address attendance issues and re-engagement with learning, especially those exacerbated by Covid.
- Develop support programmes to improve educational outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds or with vulnerabilities.
- Support improvements in family and home learning environments.
- Provide early intervention and connect families to support services, including mental health and well-being support.
- Enhance families\’ capacity to support their child\’s learning, including signposting to services such as addiction help, income maximisation, and adult education.
- Collaborate with partners including Education Welfare Officers, SEN Coordinators, Healthcare providers, and others to support the project.
- Provide reports to senior leadership and Welsh Government on project impact and progress.
Work in partnership with Conwy Family Centre workers to support families, enabling parents/carers to access adult learning opportunities that support their children\’s development and well-being.
This role offers flexible working options, including adjustments to working hours and hybrid working (office and home-based).
