About the role
You will be joining an experienced team working with patients within a prison setting. Your duties will include a wide range of tasks, including taking blood samples, wound management, health screenings, and smoking cessation. You may also be required to assist doctors with minor surgical procedures.
You will be working with patients who have an increased concentration of substance misuse and mental health issues, which means the support you offer will be of vital importance to the health and safety of each patient.
To be successful in this role, you will be a good listener with outstanding communication skills. As this role deals directly with prison inmates, the candidate should be patient and willing to work in what can occasionally be a challenging environment. They must be able to provide an efficient, smooth service whilst remaining friendly and reassuring.
