This is an exciting opportunity for a part time permanent Housekeeper, based at our Homeless Person’s Scheme, Tiernan Lodge, Wigan (WN6 7AF). In addition to working at Tiernan Lodge, you will also travel to our other properties in Wigan, business mileage will be reimbursed.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people.
What will my working week look like?
The hours of work are 16 hours a week. You will be working the mornings of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 4 hours each day, start time to be agreed, but does need to be the morning.
You’ll predominantly be based at Tiernan Lodge, you will be required to work off-site in our vacant properties in and around Wigan, to ensure readiness for re-let – which will be occasional., however, you will need ‘business use’ on your vehicle insurance and you can reclaim your business miles travelling to these properties. Ideally access to a vehicle would be beneficial for the role.
When travelling to these properties, you will take the tools of the trade with you, e.g hoover, mop and bucket etc, in addition to fresh bedding.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will provide a professional and reliable cleaning service.

- Dusting
- Undertaking General Cleaning
- Cleaning Windows
- Washing Bedding
