We are working with a leading organisation in the electronics manufacturing sector to recruit a highly capable and experienced Warehouse Manager. This is a pivotal role responsible for the overall management of day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and manage the daily operations of the warehouse.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure efficient space utilisation and effective layout design.
- Maintain rigorous standards for health and safety, hygiene, and security.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, optimising transportation costs.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise warehouse staff.
- Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and policies.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and logistics providers.
- Maintain records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Utilise warehouse management systems such as Sage, Syspro, and Linpic.
- Support training initiatives and lead periodic stock takes.
- Uphold and promote the company\’s core values and CSR commitments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years\’ experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly processes is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Sage, Syspro, SAP).
- Demonstrated success in managing warehouse KPIs and operational metrics.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all business levels.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Forklift certification is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel during the initial months of employment as part of onboarding and training.
