Overall Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher with a PhD in statistical genetics, genetic analysis, bioinformatics, health data science, or related fields. The successful candidate will analyze data from patients with psoriatic arthritis as part of the international EU-funded study, Hippocrates. This research aims to establish new standards for early molecular diagnosis and biomarkers of treatment response in psoriatic arthritis.
The position is available immediately on a fixed-term contract until June 30, 2026, based at the Centre for Genetics and Genomics Versus Arthritis (CfGG), University of Manchester, UK. CfGG is a leading research group in rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders, committed to staff development.
The candidate should have experience in analyzing genetic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data, with a good understanding of statistical analysis methods such as multivariate regression, longitudinal analysis, and proficiency in R. Experience with large observational datasets and genetic/transcriptomic/proteomic data analysis is essential.
