Maintenance Specialist Electrical – NHS Tayside
We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist Electrical based at Ninewells, with regular travel to other NHS sites within Tayside.
Minimum requirements for the post are a recognised Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ with relevant and demonstrable experience. The post holder will be fully trained and certificated as an Electrical Decontamination Person, providing Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilisation Services to meet the needs of the Service.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain Electrical Decontamination/Equipment within all properties of the organisation.
- Ensure the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely and support the smooth operation of Electrical/Decontamination Systems.
- Participate in an on-call rota and travel between NHS sites as required.
- Achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recognised Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ with relevant experience.
- Certification as an Electrical Decontamination Person.
- Ability to travel and work on an on‑call rota.
- Full-time commitment of 37 hours per week.
