The seaside town of Weymouth is passionate about its history and local community, and we are proud to have a brand new shop to share with locals and tourists alike! Our shop is looking for a flexible new team member to join us as a Standby Shop Assistant.

Our Weymouth shop is at the heart of the community, loved by customers and supported by donations. We receive unique and modern items, and every purchase helps us care for over 40,000 animals annually through rehoming, veterinary, and education programs.
As a Standby Shop Assistant, you will use your retail experience to support daily operations, working closely with the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager. You will serve the community, lead and motivate volunteers, manage donations, and supervise store activities.
Our shops are open Monday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00, with weekend and bank holiday work possibly required.
This is a zero-hours contract with hours varying based on shop needs. The pay rate is £13.69 per hour, including holiday pay, which exceeds the National Living Wage of £12.21.
