Inventory Auditor
Shift Times: 06.00 – 14.00 – Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £17.23
Location: Progress Way, Birmingham, B40 1AB
We are currently recruiting an Inventory Auditor on behalf of our client, a leading automotive manufacturer. This role is key to ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting operational efficiency within a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts of all inventory items across the site.
- Develop and maintain a cycle count tracker aligned to A/B/C stock classifications.
- Review booking sheets, report discrepancies to management, and support KPI tracking and improvement actions.
- Investigate and determine root causes of stock variances (losses and gains).
- Collaborate with the BOM team to identify and resolve bill of materials errors.
- Maintain and update manual booking records.
- Investigate negative stock levels in the system and implement corrective action plans.
- Support Goods In Clerks in accurately booking inventory using AS400/System 21.
- Assist in production booking of sequence and scrap reports.
- Generate plan adherence reports.
- Raise and process cycle count adjustment sheets.
- Execute stock adjustments through System 21.
- Validate booking transactions from the CTS2 system.
- Audit production scrap bookings within System 21.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with AS400 / System 21 is highly advantageous.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
