Job Description:

We’re looking for

full-time, permanent Class 2 Night Drivers to join us at our site in Bury St Edmunds. Your journey may start off on a Wagon, but a whole new career could be in front of you from Management, Sales, Warehousing, and more; it just takes the first step!

That’s great! We can’t wait to develop you from driving school to an experienced driver, with mentoring, nursery routes to help those new into the industry get used to making deliveries with easy-to-navigate locations, and regular training updates.

Pay, benefits, and more

As a Driver, you’ll work on our night routes, delivering between sites in our network and customer sites. You’ll work a minimum of 40 hours (plus overtime) per week, Monday to Friday night shift. In return, we offer an hourly rate of £15.39, plus a subsistence bonus of £1.75 per hour. You’ll also have access to high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, holiday pay, and ongoing CPC training. Additionally, XPO University offers relevant courses and apprenticeships for your career development in logistics.

Typical day:

  • Delivering between customer sites and making collections when required
  • Safely operate your vehicle adhering to XPO standards
  • Use tail lift and pallet trucks safely where no FLT is available

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with C entitlement
  • ADR qualifications (advantageous)
  • No more than six penalty points; no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
