Role Overview: Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management and coordination of Task Orders within the contract, from initiation through engineering, procurement, construction, and handover. This role aims to challenge traditional ways of working constructively, contributing to significant improvements in the HPC contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the project according to scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards.
- Ensure safe project delivery, meeting all EHS&Q (including CDM) requirements across all phases.
- Coordinate engineering, fabrication, and installation activities in line with discussions with the Projects Director.
- Develop and implement the project execution plan aligned with Bilfinger\’s strategy for HPC.
- Define project scope accurately, manage estimates, and control changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the project\’s commercial aspects, including profit margins, cash flow, invoicing, and customer approvals.
- Oversee key suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements.
- Maintain ownership of the baseline schedule and control estimates, ensuring project integrity with any approved changes.
- Report on project progress, including percentage complete, actuals, forecast AFC, Earned Value, and changes.
- Build and manage effective project teams, ensuring resource adequacy and high productivity.
- Employ project controls for risk management and change control.
- Apply company and project quality systems effectively, raising concerns as needed.
- Act as the main interface with stakeholders and customers to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate with MEH Alliance construction and Bilfinger project leadership, representing Bilfinger in HPC meetings.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager.
- Undertake development to complete SQEP requirements.
- Be prepared to act in succession as directed.
