Great opportunity to utilise your driving skills and knowledge. We are looking for a C+E driver trainer based in Market Drayton. This role follows a 6 on and 2 off shift pattern. Flexibility is required to cover various shifts and days, including weekends, which are compulsory as part of the 6-day work schedule. You will be working for one of the UK\’s largest transport groups. During busy periods such as Christmas and summer holidays, you may be required to work as a Class 1 driver; therefore, a Class 1 license is necessary. Milk Tanker experience is preferred.

Shift details: 6 on 2 off pattern, Nights from 18:00 to 04:00 (flexibility around these hours and overtime may be involved).

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday – overtime after 47.5 hours (£17.85/hour)
  • Night shift overtime after 47.5 hours (£20.39/hour)
  • Weekly uplift of £20

Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Full and current Cat C+E driving license for at least 3 years
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage colleagues
  • Understanding of Drivers Hours and Tachograph Legislation
  • Understanding of RTWTD Legislation
  • Willingness to deliver Driver CPC training
  • Proficiency in English and basic computer skills
  • Polite, professional, with good timekeeping and attendance
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • Willing to undertake training to enhance skills
  • Promote best practices within the business

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct driving assessments for new and existing drivers
  • Deliver driver CPC training
  • Support on-route learning and familiarisation with delivery points
  • Monitor Tachograph infringements and provide related training
  • Coach on safe driving, accident prevention, and fuel efficiency
  • Mentor candidates in training schemes
  • Perform general driving duties and deliveries if needed
  • Full training, support, and career development provided
