Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate to contribute to Abcam’s Antibody Product Portfolio expansion.

The successful candidate will join the Characterisation Team and is passionate about validating antibodies to the highest standard.

The Characterisation Team holds a key function in the validation of new antibodies and new lots of existing products ensuring functionality for our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Performing routine Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, ELISA and Immunocytochemistry assays.
  • Preparing cells, plates or tissues for analysis.
  • Accurately recording experimental details in Lab notebooks or the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) system.
  • Preparing standard buffers and reagents according to defined operating procedures.
  • Providing general lab support, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Qualifications

    You will be a highly organised individual and a good team player, preferably with experience in a Laboratory environment. A demonstrated track record of adapting rapidly to new challenges and delivering quality results would be ideal.

    Experience in either Flow cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot or Immunohistochemistry assays and familiarity with various mammalian cell lines are desirable.
