Equifind have teamed up with one of our investment clients to recruit a payroll manager to work from their London office for the next three months.

We are looking for a proven payroll manager with a strong background in UK and US payroll to manage the function.

Key deliverables for this payroll manager position include:

  • Manage the end-to-end global payroll process and have a high level of understanding of general payroll operations and internal control concepts.
  • Manage payroll processes for the business office globally – UK, US and multiple European entities.
  • Process all elements of bi-monthly and monthly payroll with accuracy in a timely manner including joiners, leavers, benefit changes, commissions, allowances, maternity/parental leave, sick pay, UK pensions, etc.
  • Manage the reporting of the P11Ds and benefits.
  • Be responsible for the relationship with key internal teams such as HR and Finance, and the external payroll and benefits providers to ensure company information needs are met effectively.
  • Own month-end close, quarter-end, and year-end processes for relevant entities including reviewing/approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain oversight of payroll data to ensure confidential data storage and overall integrity.
  • Ensure statutory reporting to HMRC and other country-specific payroll and employment-related matters are tracked and completed accurately and on time.

The Business:

An international investment firm headquartered in London with operations across multiple countries.

You will join a growing medium-sized finance team and have full ownership of the payroll function and be key to the business.

The role is hybrid, and you will be expected to be in the office three days per week.

Background and experience:

  • Strong international payroll experience, ideally within a global financial services organisation.
  • Experience managing payroll for the UK and US is a MUST.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of UK Payroll (including auto-enrolment) and Benefits i.e. Issuing P45s, P60s and P11Ds.
  • A minimum of 7 years of payroll experience.
  • Strong payroll systems experience.

Salary/rate:

This role will be paying in the region of £300-£400 per day, depending on your industry experience.
