YOUR NEW ROLE

As a pragmatic, integrative business partner, the Value Advisor Expert – Strategic Initiative Lead & Regional Partner will own and manage end-to-end initiatives that are critical to enabling SAP’s growth agenda, while supporting regional VA teams in an effective manner.

This individual will be at the forefront of innovative topics and act as a catalyst and a multiplier to ensure Value Advisory teams meet the future needs of our customers and are able to create compelling value propositions, with differentiation based on our deep industry, value and solution expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • As the owner of one or more strategic topics (e.g. Business AI, Business Value North Star), the person will ensure ongoing success by doing the following: Orchestrate and directly contribute to the design, creation, delivery and continuous evolution of value-based methodologies, tools and content pertaining to those topic
  • Foster the exchange of insights and best practices within Value Advisory through relevant forums (e.g. Best Practice sharing calls)
  • Orchestrate and deliver enablement to Value Advisors, SAP employees (e.g. Customer Success, CS&D) and Partners
  • Be the go-to person for support requests from the field
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration with other teams
  • Perform project management and management reporting

As a partner to one or more regional VA teams, the person will support field VAs by doing the following:

  • Work with GVA management to partner with, guide, and support relevant regional Value Advisory heads to raise excellence, speed, and adoption across value related topics
  • Help drive the evolution and execution of SAP’s Value Strategy at a regional level
  • Support customer engagements end-to-end across the customer lifetime through a collaborative hands‑on approach with the local teams, especially on leading-edge topics and where complex problem‑solving is required
  • Continuously foster excellence and raise standards (e.g. quality of deliverables) through coaching and collaboration with local VAs, including by driving the delivery and utilization of value content and thought leadership

YOUR PROFILE

  • Combined 10+ years of experience in Strategy or Management Consulting with leading international firms, software Value Advisory and/or relevant industry positions
  • Advanced knowledge of Value Management discipline and methodology across the customer journey, especially business case creation, analysis, and research
  • Experience in consultative selling, track record of building and retaining strong customer relationships
  • Track record of leading customer engagements, from planning to resource orchestration and leading workshops
  • Ability to engage customer stakeholders across various levels, up to C‑suite, through effective presentation and communication skills
  • Expertise in industry / line of business and ability to apply knowledge of relevant SAP products to customer engagement

The SAP Value Advisory organization is chartered with articulating the potential business and societal value SAP customers and prospects could achieve by adopting SAP industry differentiating capabilities and innovations. The team’s mandate is an integral part of SAP’s go‑to‑market strategy to help customers turn their visions into tangible and measurable value.

Value Advisors focus on strategic, consultative value positioning to our customers through our collaborative engagement methodology, linking customers’ strategy and business outcomes to the business capabilities needed and ultimately the value SAP solutions can bring. Value Advisors orchestrate the engagement methodology, drive the co‑creation of a compelling customer case for change, and support value realization to ensure expected benefits materialize after the implementation. Value Advisors can have an industry, process and/or line of business (LoB) specialization.

The Global Value Advisory team plays a critical role in helping SAP Value Advisors deliver successful customer engagements at scale around the globe, maximizing both business impact and productivity. This is achieved through strategic projects on incubation topics, creation and curation of relevant content, continuous innovation of the toolset used by Value Advisors, orchestration of cross‑regional knowledge sharing, as well as hands‑on support on strategic opportunities. By extension, our mandate is also to instill value‑based thinking in SAP’s operating model, from solution development to delivery, as well as within our Partner community.
