About the role
You will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role within the finance team, supporting a variety of essential accounting activities, including assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Additionally, you will take a proactive approach to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of both the purchase and sales ledgers. This position offers opportunities for professional development, along with support for further studies and training.
What you’ll be getting up to
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts
- Proactively ensuring completeness of books of prime entry (both purchase & sales ledger)
- Updating budget trackers and monitoring, investigating and reporting on variances
- Leading and coordinating debt meetings to meet required debtor days and assisting with cashflow forecasting
- Support credit control activities and payment processing
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Associate invoice processing and reconciliation
- Preparation of payment runs
- Maintain financial processes and procedure documentation
- Support system updates (Caiman IQ) and monthly recharges
- Contribute to year-end audit preparation
- Prepare intercompany reconciliations
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required
- Compliance at all times with corporate financial regulatory requirements

- Part Qualified CIMA or ACCA

- Salary: £37,500 to 42,500 per annum
- Location: Hybrid working – Two days office based in St Ives (Tuesday and Thursdays), Cambridgeshire, three days at home.
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9-5.30
