About the Role
Level: Level 2
Department: Finance – Tax
Location: Southampton
Contract type: Permanent
In this role you will support the tax business partners to deliver VAT, Corporation tax and product tax compliance. This is a great opportunity to start a career in the corporate taxation team with full study support and training included.
Key responsibilities
- Support with the preparation of analysis required for UK Corporation Tax returns
- Support with the preparation of the UK and Irish group VAT returns
- Support Tax Business Partners to ensure all internal and external audit requirements are met
- Preparation of the quarterly chargeable gains tax calculations
- Maintaining and updating key systems used for VAT and chargeable gains calculations to ensure compliance obligations are met
- Monthly VAT supplier invoice reviews and journal corrections
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual product related tax returns, including statistical returns and dealing with all queries raised by key stakeholders
- Preparation of control reconciliations in respect of product related tax balances
- Assist and support the wider corporate business partner community with ad-hoc tasks
- Maintain and update tax team procedures
