Buttercups House is a state-of-the-art bungalow in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, designed to support young people with complex, learning, and physical disabilities requiring short break services.
It accommodates up to 3 young people at a time, encouraging skill development, independence, and wellbeing during their stay.
Children and young people can enjoy overnight breaks, providing regular respite for parents and carers. Breaks can range from one overnight to longer stays.
Meet L, a 14-year-old who lives with her aunt and sister. She loves dancing, music, outdoor adventures, and baking. She enjoys visiting the park, running, climbing, and playing with friends. L has hearing loss and may run ahead when excited; clear instructions and face-to-face communication are essential for her safety.
