Role Description
Newcastle College is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed professional to lead our Advanced Technical Construction, Building Services, and T-Level provision within the EPPD (Engineering, Professional, and Digital) faculty.
As Curriculum Leader, you will work closely with the Head of Curriculum to manage the department and lead a dedicated team that includes Advanced Technical lecturers. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, effective recruitment, and the day-to-day operational management of the curriculum – aligned with Newcastle College\’s KPIs.
We Are Looking For Someone With
- A strong background in Further Education and the construction, building services, or built environment sector.
- Experience delivering qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3.
- A proven track record of leading and managing teams to deliver results.
- A minimum Level 3 (or equivalent industry-recognised) qualification in the sector.
- A post-16 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Level 2 qualifications in English and maths (or equivalent).
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills, including use of VLEs.
You should also have experience of successful programme leadership and developing effective teaching strategies for learners, including those with additional needs or barriers to learning. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet curriculum demands is required.
