Position: Men\’s Basketball Assistant Coach
Campus: North Manchester, IN

Manchester University invites applications for a passionate and dedicated Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach to help lead a successful NCAA Division III program rooted in the University\’s mission to respect the infinite worth of every individual. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of student-athletes while supporting a program that values academic excellence, integrity, and teamwork..
What You\’ll Do:
Recruit student-athletes who demonstrate strong academic potential.
Coordinate with admissions and develop annual recruitment plans.
Track and report on student-athlete retention progress.
Eligibility & Academic Support:
Monitor academic eligibility and work with the Student Success Center to support athletes.
Coaching & Team Management:
Organize and conduct practices with a focus on safety and skill development.
Assist in game planning, scheduling, and team travel.
Provide feedback and mentorship to student-athletes.
Program Operations:
Support budget preparation, equipment management, and facility readiness.
Participate in fundraising efforts and campus events.
Drive university vehicles for team travel.
What You\’ll Need
Coaching and/or playing experience, ideally in NCAA Division III
CPR/AED First Aid Certification (can be completed on-site)
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
Willingness to grow through clinics, workshops, and coaching associations
