As National Account Executive, you will play a key supporting role in managing Zeus UK’s largest customer, Bidfood, assisting in the delivery of strategic growth plans, excellent service, and operational execution. You will act as a conduit between internal teams and the customer’s supply chain, commercial, and depot networks, ensuring communication, responsiveness, and depot engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Leadership
- Be the primary point of contact for Bidfood’s commercial, supply chain, and depot teams
- Drive customer confidence through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and ownership
- Manage the day-to-day customer management building strong relationships across Bidfood’s depot network
- Manage and build strong relationships across Bidfood’s Catering Supplies regional and national teams
- Respond to Bidfood’s queries, service challenges, and ad hoc product requests
- Support and attend national and local trade shows
Sales & Commercial Growth
- Maintain and exceed sales and margin targets
- Develop and execute tailored growth plans
- Lead category expansion bids and tenders
- Identify and activate gap and upsell opportunities
- Drive penetration of core categories
- Manage slow sellers’ strategy
- New Product Launches
- Manage new line forms, sample distribution, and product launch startegy
- Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver communication strategy
Operational & Service Excellence
- Monitor stock levels, delivery timelines, and maintain 98.5% service levels
- Lead resolution of supply chain or service disruptions
- Manage forecasts, uplifts, and depot readiness assist in coordinating new listings, product changes, and promotional rollouts
- Track and report depot-level service issues and help implement solutions
Reporting & Insight
- Track performance against KPIs and budgets
- Provide data-driven insights during reviews
- Support promotional ROI tracking and depot-level reporting
- Manage sales tracking, depot performance s, promotional uptake
- Bidview data management
- Maintain internal account folders, pricing trackers, and depot visit schedules
Sustainability & Innovation
- Act as a conduit for sustainability legislation updates and product substitutions
- Drive product and packaging innovation aligned with responsible values
- Ensure Bidfood is supported with current regulation guidance (EPR, plastic tax)
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Account management experience in wholesale, foodservice, or FMCG
- Strong commercial and project management skills
- Comfortable navigating large, matrix-style accounts
- Highly responsive and relationship-led approach
Desirable:
- Prior experience with Bidfood or similar national wholesaler
- Knowledge of packaging, sustainability regulations, or QSR sector
