Job Description

At this level, you will be expected to:

  • Have experience working to the GDS design principles or equivalent standards in the UK Public sector.
  • Build user-centred practices in new teams.
  • Align user research activities with wider plans to inform a service proposition.
  • Carry out user research and supervise and develop other user researchers to assure and improve research practice.
  • Advocate for inclusive practices and help teams design and deliver accessible services that work for all users.
  • Have experience of a wide range of primary and secondary user research methods.
  • Understand and help teams apply a range of methods to analyse research data and synthesise findings.
  • Present research findings effectively, summarising and tailoring for different audiences.
  • Understand the social and technological context of projects.
  • Align user research activities to inform decision making and action.
  • Know about the technologies used to build and operate digital services.
  • Help inexperienced teams adopt user-centred practices and embed them into their agile workflow.

Qualifications

  • 4 years plus User Research experience.
  • Experience working to the GDS design principles or equivalent standards in the UK Public sector.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance.
  • Work to a Hybrid working model.
