Robertson Bell is delighted to be supporting a well-established national organisation to recruit a Finance Officer on a part-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic time to join a small but busy finance team. You will play a key role in managing core finance processes, supporting fundraising income analysis, and helping the charity deliver its vital services.

In this role, you will:

  • Take full ownership of the purchase ledger process, managing around 50 invoices per month using a streamlined P2P system.
  • Perform detailed income analysis across multiple platforms ensuring accurate classification for financial reporting and Gift Aid.
  • Manage monthly Gift Aid claims and develop best practice processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Carry out regular bank reconciliations and support wider finance operations, including Salesforce data analysis.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation, including compiling supplier reports and uploading documentation to the audit portal.
  • Collaborate with fundraising and finance colleagues to ensure income is accurately coded and integrated into both the accounts and CRM system.

This is a part-time role, offered at three days per week (22 hours), based in the organisation’s Surrey office. Candidates are welcome to work these hours across three, four or five days. You’ll benefit from a generous annual leave entitlement, access to Westfield Health after probation, and team away days.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Bring prior experience from a finance role covering purchase or sales ledger and general accounting duties.
  • Be confident with Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs) and have the aptitude to learn new systems quickly – experience with CRM or finance systems is a bonus.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a small team.
  • Be a positive team player with strong communication skills.

Due to the nature of the role, this position requires office presence every day.

Applications are under review on a rolling basis with an interview date set for 30th April. An informal Teams chat will precede the interview stage. Apply now to be considered!
