Red Sky Personnel are working with a long-standing contractor renowned for delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently looking for a Section Engineer to join their growing team on large-scale road schemes based in Suffolk, with wider works across East Anglia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on role and wants to be part of complex civils projects, especially in the highways and infrastructure space.
What You\’ll Be Doing
Overseeing setting out and site engineering activities across key sections of work
Interpreting and working from construction drawings and specifications
Liaising with site and project management teams to deliver works safely and efficiently
Supporting junior engineers with mentoring and technical guidance
Managing service plans, drawings, and issuing permits
Ensuring high standards of quality control and contributing to the completion of as-builts
Identifying commercial opportunities or potential risks on your section of work
What We\’re Looking For
Proven experience in setting out for highways, roads, and earthworks projects
Proficient with Leica/Geomax and transferring information from AutoCAD
Strong understanding of QA processes and ITPs
First-class communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across East Anglia
First Aid at Work qualification is desirable
